Week Without Walls

This week was an invaluable experience to me as the trip to Hamabantota taught me many things about me and helped develop skills such as teamwork and communication. We started each day by interacting with the kids for around half an hour and then we started painting the school. It was tough since i had never painted anything before, but the teachers were very helpful and by the first day we knew what to do.

The next few days were pretty much the same, but each day was different, as we became more experienced at the painting and also with interacting with the small kids and we made new friends.

Along with the work we also had fun as the teachers in charge organised a calypso night and we danced to baila music. It was a fun night and we really enjoyed ourselves.
